The Banea mini hydropower project located in West Sulawesi is progressing satisfactorily. We are currently upgrading the Pre-Feasibility study to full Feasibility Study status. Activities currently on-going include implementation of more detailed topographical study, grid inter-connection study and preparation of a Detailed Engineering Design (DED).

In parallel we are now exploring financing options for the project and hope to mobilize financial support through collaboration with an investor interested to participate in the Indonesian small-scale renewable energy sector.
As part of our efforts to identify possible investors we participated in the CTI-PFAN Asia Forum for Clean Energy Financing (AFCEF-7) Business Plan Competition. This program aims at identifying commercially attractive clean energy projects in the Asian region and linking them up with potential investors. The program comprises a number of stages whereby the project developers are assisted in preparing their respective business plans. After an intensive process of selection, 12 finalists were invited to present their projects at the investor forum in Singapore on the 10 Feb 2017.

PT. Entec Indonesia is proud to announce that we were awarded the runner-up position for the Banea Mini Hydropower project presented at the event. The forum showcased 12 projects spanning technologies such as solar, biogas, bio-fuels, hydroelectric, waste to energy, energy efficiency, thermal power and distributed & off-grid generation developed by entrepreneurs and companies from Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Nepal, Philippines and Vietnam.
